Hursts Grab & GoNationwide
From brand creation to nationwide rollout
The Malthurst Groups new retail forecourt stores required a fresh identity, and we were delighted to take the lead with this nationwide project. Our work encapsulates the journey from a brand's initial creation through to its launch and roll out.
As experts in all aspects of the brand and design process, we are equally adept in large-scale project management. Over the course of several years, we worked on over 400 stores across the UK, from interior and exterior spatial design to signage, wayfinding and counter design.
For Hursts, we seamlessly integrated our services with internal and external stakeholders, co-ordinating design, production and installation to deliver on time and on budget.
Our creation of the Hursts brand began with the name itself. Crafted out of the company’s name, The Malthouse Group, Hursts was devised to give a sense of a long-established family business. We also developed The Hursts Grab and Go brand which evolved from the main retail offering. During our time working with Hursts, we co-ordinated with multiple brands including Subway, Greggs, Costa, BP and Esso.
From conceptualising the brand and designing the shop’s interior and exterior, we also specified, designed and project managed the installation of the groups entire forecourt wayfinding signage and monoliths to site.
The Hursts Grab and Go brand was created to offer further convenience to customers, where they could stop and refuel both their car and themselves.
Through this evolution of the main brand, our design service extended to impulse displays, bunkers, interior counters, cafés and hot food counters.
Working closely with Hursts' in-house retail and estates team, we offered a "concept to completion" approach, from surveying the sites to production, project management and installation.
